Summer is here!

We are officially on summer break!  And today it's going to be warm enough to bust out the water slide. Today also marks the beginning of week three of using my Rodan + Fields Lash Boost.  I've been told to expect to see a difference in the next three weeks.  I eagerly await results!

I think I'm falling out of like with my L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur foundation.  Despite primer, it's really starting to settle into my deep pores  (do not, I repeat, do NOT pick at your blackheads teenagers!) and the lines around my eyes.  It was so bad the other day that I threw a blending brush in my car so I could do touch ups.

Otherwise foundation/concealer/powder are the same.
Cheeks:
Sonia Kashuk cream blush in Blossom.  I really love this pink hue.  It's not overwhelming but does show up on my fair skin.
Powder blush is one of my favorites: Cover Girl Sophisticated Sable
I fell in love with this when I was about sixteen and have used it on and off ever since.  I stick with the middle shade but sometimes throw the darkest color in as a pop.
Highlight is new...the lightest shimmering shade from the Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette.  This is the first time I've used it so I really don't have an opinion yet.

Eyes:
Tarte Sultry Star Power Palette...this palette looks beautiful but the color payoff, even with primer, is not great.  I do love the ladies night color...it's perfect for my browbone to contour.  The glimmer is pretty but fall out galore!  Outer corner I have sparks fly.
Liner is Stila Burgundy.  I bought this because I don't have anything like it.  I am finding that I like it better on the waterline.
Mascara...I think I've found a winner.  I hated that NYX Boudoir mascara because it was so wet.  This one I was a little scared of because I could totally picture the little ball thing stabbing me.  But it's perfect for getting those inner corner lashes.  I am loving the formula too.  Oh yeah, I guess I should tell you the name:  Cover Girl Total Tease!

Lips: Clinique Chubby in Whole Lotta Honey (I love this color) and in center of lip Rimmel Nonstop Glamour.

Have a blessed Thursday!

Hello purple!

I am so in love with these Armani eye tints and today I'm finally getting around to trying the last one I ordered during the Sephora VIB sale.  This one is #7 Shadow and it's a gorgeous shimmer purple-silver.

Again, so serious

Inner eye: Elf RoseGold
I put the Armani #7 on outer lid and blended in and up
Liner: Laura Mercier tightline cake eyeliner in Black Ebony
Mascara: NYX Pin-Up...I have given this a week and I still don't like it.  It's just too wet.

Skin: Same concealer and foundation as before.
Cheeks: Tarte Desire under foundation.  Milani powder and then Cover Girl Natural Glow blush.  This CG blush is one of my favorites...I absolutely adore it!
Highlight: Stila Star Light, Star Bright Highlighting Palette (middle shade).  While this is pretty as a highlight I really like to use the middle shade in the center of my lid!
Contour: Nars Olympia (I love that it's lighter but it's also very pink)

Lips: Clinique Baby Baby...this is discontinued and while I love it, I would never pay the price in the link.

Have a blessed Tuesday!

Kevyn Aucoin rules

I have tried contour powder after contour powder after contour powder but I honestly feel like I can stop my search for the best one for me.  That doesn't mean I WILL...just means I really could!

Keep in mind I'm still working on the best way to contour my nose (long with one side that protrudes out more at the tip than the other side does).  But this Kevyn Aucoin contour duo is amazing!  It's $25 for a small container and it's going to last me forever.  You can buy the full-size sculpting powder but why bother?  This little one will last a really long time because it's so pigmented but it blends so beautifully!

Eyes:
Armani Eye Tint in Nude Smoke and Cold Copper.  Outer edge Clinique Chameleon (no longer available).  Liner: Sephora Kohl blended with a Pro Smudge Brush

Mascara: that new NYX one that I'm pretty sure I'm going to toss next week.  It doesn't curl and it's too...wet.  I'm giving it another week to dry out a little.

Face:
Same old same old but "new" blush.  So "new" in fact that it's no longer available except at a too high price.  It's Clinique Almond Blossom.  While I like the color it's not worth the price in the link.

Cream blush underneath is one of my favorites and it IS still available...Tarte Exposed.  This is one of my favorites!  It's gorgeous!

Lips: Clinique Baby Kiss with NYX Cairo over.

Have a blessed Thursday!!!
